THE IMPACT OF POVERTY ON EDUCATION

One of the most important factors influencing a person's life is their education. Children from low-income households are unable to invest in their education because the majority of their wages are used to pay for other necessities like food and other essentials, despite the fact that education is the primary factor that can improve a person's life in new ways. Only 6% of low-income households' money is spent on health and education, according to a research.

The main problems the world faces are poverty and lack of education. Due to financial difficulties, lower-income families may not send their children to school, or even if they do, they may not receive the required facilities or educational assistance. As a result, even after attending government schools, these children may end up working in menial jobs. hence there is increase in illiteracy. According to the 2011 census, Bihar has the lowest rate of literacy 47% among all the states. Bihar has the lowest rates of literacy for both men and women. Poverty is one aspect that has a big impact on education in India.

One-third of the world's poverty is found in India. Data from the National Statistical Office show that India's average literacy rate was 77.70 percent as of 2021. (NSO). In 2021, 84.70 percent of men and 70.30 percent of women in India will be literate.

India has a serious problem with poverty. 17% of the population live below the poverty line, which means that a lot more people are close to it. The global average for 2011 was 18.9%, in comparison. The issue is particularly acute for some demographic groups, such as women and children, who make up 35% of India's overall poor population.
